Sorry friends. I know it’s been a slow few days, but life-life has required too much of my attention to properly keep things in order here. There will be a return to normal next week.
A little insight into the Mai Tai
The Pegu Blog posted a link to this article, Conor’s Mai Tai over at Lush Angeles that offers good insight into what’s actually going into a Mai Tai you order and why a good Mai Tai might be running you $20. A very good, quick read with a recipe to boot.

Cruzan is bringing us spiced rum with Cruzan 9
I’ve always liked the Cruzan line (naysayers be damned). Affordable rum that’s also tasty? Blasphemy. And yet, there it is. And now Cruzan is going to be offering a new spiced rum to the market.
The rest of this post is all the product info from the press release so behind the cut it goes!
Seattle Seafair Pirates Landing 2010
I am a lobster. No, this isn’t some stupid thing where I tell you I’m really an animal blogging under the guise of a human. I’m saying I’m red. Burned. Lobster colored. My skin has been licked by the sun. And it hurts.
But it was a small price to pay for Saturday.
Saturday was a good day. It was a day I’ve been waiting for since I moved up here and heard about it. Saturday was the day that the Seafair Pirates landed at Alki beach. And the weather was fantastic.
Fuck. Yeah!
